Finally building on Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda's corner flag jam session goal celebration, the pair recruited Petr Cech, Paul Ferreira and Chelsea's club chef for a live performance of actual music in a hotel restaurant during their recent Asia tour.
With Malouda on bongos, Cech on drums, Drogba with a tiny tambourine, Ferreira using a shaker thing and the chef handling most of the heavy lifting on guitar and lead vocals, they performed "Let It Be" for the diners below. Drogba quickly abandoned his tambourine duty to become the band's mobile phone videographer, though.
So with one performance under the belts, what's next for the group? Well, they need a name. Naturally, I think Didier Drogba and the F***ing Disgraces would have the most commercial appeal. From there, I think a 2012 summer tour and filmed as a sequel to Spinal Tap would be the way to go.
